Description

The 5K Ohm Force Sensor is a thin, flexible, and lightweight force-sensitive resistor (FSR) designed to detect physical pressure, squeezing, or weight. Its resistance decreases as the applied force increases, making it ideal for analog force-sensing applications.

Commonly used in robotics, wearable tech, smart interfaces, and industrial control systems, this sensor is easy to interface with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and more.

⚙️ Specifications:

  • Resistance (no force): ~5KΩ (can vary slightly)

  • Force Range: ~0.1 N to 10 N (10 g to 1 kg approx.)

  • Sensing Area: Typically ~12.5 mm diameter (round)

  • Response Time: <1 ms

  • Operating Voltage: 0–5V (analog output)

  • Thickness: ~0.45 mm

  • Temperature Range: -30°C to +70°C

  • Durability: >10 million actuations

🔧 Key Features:

  • Analog output proportional to applied force

  • Flexible and ultra-thin form factor

  • Easy to integrate with Arduino or other microcontrollers

  • Ideal for robotic grip sensing, touch detection, load measurement, and user input devices

  • Plug-and-play with basic voltage divider setup

📌 How to Use:

  1. Connect one leg of the FSR to 5V and the other to analog input via a fixed resistor (e.g., 10KΩ) to ground.

  2. Read varying voltage based on applied pressure.

  3. Calibrate for desired weight/force threshold.
